What format is the output file?

The output is an RTF (Rich Text Format) file. RTF is widely supported by Microsoft Word, LibreOffice Writer, Apple Pages, and most other word processors.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

No. Scanned PDFs contain images rather than a text layer. This tool only extracts embedded text. Scanned documents require OCR software first.

How faithful is the conversion?

The tool captures the text content and basic structure. Complex layouts, tables, columns, and decorative formatting may not be preserved exactly as in the original PDF.
